PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a vehicle which reduces the weight and the size, and improves the strength and the durability of a hub wheel under the condition of the rotational bending load. SOLUTION: The bearing device for the vehicle is equipped with an outer member 2; an inner member 1 composed of a hub wheel 4 which integrally has a wheel mounting flange 6 on one end part and forms an inner rolling surface 4a and a small diameter stepped part 4b, and an inner wheel 5 press-fitted into the small diameter shoulder 4b; and a double row rolling elements 3 stored in both rolling surfaces between the inner member 1 and the outer member 2. The surface roughness of the corner part 12 extended to the outer peripheral surface of a brake pilot part 11 supporting a brake rotor is smaller than the surface roughness of the side surface 6a, and set within the range of 0.2 to 1.6Ra.
