PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polysulfone-based hollow fiber membrane that is suitable for a blood purifier, has high safety and performance stability, is excellent in module assembling properties, has high water permeating performance, and used for treatment of chronic renal failure. SOLUTION: The polysulfone-based permselective hollow fiber membrane is made of a polysulfone-based resin and a hydrophilic polymer as principal components, and has (a) the content of a hydrophilic polymer of the outermost layer of the blood-contacting side surface of the hollow fiber membrane is≥1.1 times to the content of the hydrophilic polymer of the layer near to the blood-contacting side surface, (b) the content of the hydrophilic polymer of the outermost layer of the surface opposite to the blood-contacting side surface in the hollow fiber membrane is≥1.1 times the content of the hydrophilic polymer of the outermost layer of the blood-contacting side surface, and (c) the ratio of the content of a soluble cyclic dimer to the polysulfone type polymer is≤1.0 wt.%.
