PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent air contamination due to the spreading of contaminated matters such as infectious agents released from human beings by blowing air when the human beings come close. SOLUTION: An ion generator 21 for generating positive and negative ions is provided in an air passage in a casing 20, and clean air containing the positive and negative ions is blown out from an air outlet 24 by a fan 22. An object sensor 27 detects the presence of human beings in the air blowing direction. When it detects a human being in the air blowing direction, the air volume blown by the fan 22 is reduced to prevent contaminated matters released from the human beings from spreading.
