A method and apparatus for mixing a first stream of gas with a second stream of gas is provided. The method includes introducing a first stream (10) of gas into a first stream manifold (12) and directing the first stream (10) from the first stream manifold (12) into a mixing chamber (30) via a plurality of first stream passages (14) flow coupled to the mixing chamber (30). A second stream (20) of gas is directed into the mixing chamber (30) via at least one second stream passage (24) flow coupled to a first end (31) of the mixing chamber (30). A combined stream (40) is formed from the first and second streams (10, 20), gradually converged, and discharged from the mixing chamber (30) through a mixing chamber exit port (34).
