PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a load imposed on a computer in mobile terminal equipment is heavy because processing such as normalization is required for the comparison of image information items. SOLUTION: The image authentication mobile terminal equipment acquires image information when a distance between an object and a camera is within a prescribed range and compares the image information items to eliminate the need for normalizing the size of the object in the image information. The image authentication mobile terminal equipment discriminates whether or not the distance between the object and the camera is within the prescribed range.
