PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warning system which detects a road where a transmission-side moving body is moving and gives a warning of a collision against the transmission-side moving body, and a moving body terminal. SOLUTION: The transmission-side moving body calculates the current position by map matching using map information based upon detected position coordinates and transmits information specifying the calculated current position and the contents of map information together with the detected position coordinates and a reception-side moving body receives the information specifying the position coordinates, the current position, and the contents of the map information, decides whether pieces of map information that the transmission-side moving body and the reception-side moving body posses match each other based upon the received information specifying the contents of the map information, and decides the possibility of a collision based upon the received position coordinates and the current position of the local moving body before matching when the pieces of possessed map information or decides the possibility of a collision based upon the received current position and the current position of the local moving body after the matching when it is decided that they nearly match each other to give a warning.
