PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multistage drying device capable of preventing the escape of water from a pot. SOLUTION: A plurality of rotatable rake shafts 25 are mounted in a drying chamber along the vertical direction. A plurality of rakes 27 are mounted on the rake shafts 25 for conveying the dried object carried on a drying face 11 from one end side of the drying face 11 to the other end side while stirring it, and successively carrying the dried object from the drying face 11 of an upper stage to the drying face of a lower stage. As an oil layer 62 is formed on an upper part of the water W sealed in the pot 28 in which lower end parts of the rake shafts 25 are rotatably inserted, a part between the water W sealed in the pot 28 and an opening part 45 can be blocked by the oil layer 62, and the escape of the water W from the opening part 45 of the pot 28 to the drying chamber can be prevented.
