PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the completion of an operation in a vacuum breaker. SOLUTION: This vacuum breaker 30 comprises a speed control valve 23 with a limiting restrictor 24 moved by a limiting spring 20 and a compression gas supplied from a compression passage 27 in a limiting cylinder chamber 21, a breaking valve 14 formed integrally with a breaking piston 18 operated by the compression gas supplied from the speed control valve 23, and a breaking passage 19. Magnets 13 are disposed all around or a part of the outer peripheral part of the breaking valve 14, and at least one of the sensors 11 and 12 is disposed on the outer surface of a breaking pressure chamber 28 to detect the completion of the operation of the vacuum breaker by the sensor.
