PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve compression efficiency and volume efficiency by effectively suppressing temperature rise of refrigerant sucked in a cylinder chamber without jumboizing a compressor. SOLUTION: This gas compressor 10 is provided with a compression mechanism main body 12 having a suction opening 20 penetrating an end wall and guiding gas to the cylinder chamber 16 formed on the end wall 15 of cylinders having the cylinders 13, 14, 15 defining the cylinder chamber 16 for compressing gas, and a tubular suction head 32 guiding gas to be compressed to a suction opening 28. The suction head 32 includes a suction port 33 receiving supply of gas to be compressed at one end thereof, and a connection opening 34c communicating with the suction port 33 and connected to the suction opening 28 on a cylinder end wall at another end thereof.
