PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prestressed concrete structure which can reduce an amount of tension materials used vertically in a side wall so that an intermediate tension work does not affect the start of an upper side wall constructing work. SOLUTION: The side wall 2 consists of a side wall general portion 21 and a portion 22 which starts from the middle of the side wall general portion 21 and extends downward with an increasing member-thickness. Tendons 53 directed vertically or tendons 51 directed slantly vertically are arranged in the portion 22 where the member-thickness increases. The portion 22, where the member-thickness increases, can be formed into a downward widening tapered shape, or into a downward widening multistepped shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
