<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fuel cell system in which a secondary battery in an appropriate full-charged state can be retained by an output of the fuel cell, and in which the fuel cell and the secondary battery can be used stably over a long period. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system provided with the fuel cell 1 using a proton conductive solid polyelectrolyte and the secondary battery 2 for backup, has a charging passage 30 which charges the secondary battery 2 by the output of the fuel cell, a fuel cell output passage 10 which supplies the fuel cell output to a load, and a secondary battery output passage 20 which supplies the output of the secondary battery to the load. A diode D<SB>2</SB>is connected in a direction in which a discharge current of the secondary battery flows in the secondary battery output passage 20, and controlled so that an output voltage of the charging passage 30 becomes a floating charge voltage in the case an output current of the fuel cell 1 is at a rated output current or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
