<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely hold a final status of output processing to be easily referable. <P>SOLUTION: When printing is performed from a client PC 201, a credential is first acquired from a directory server 203, and an addition request for the status of a new printing job to a status information table is transmitted to a server PC 202 with the credential. Thereafter, a printing data file and the credential are transmitted from the client PC to an MFP 204. When the transmission is completed, the client requests the status change to the server. The MFP 204 also requests the status change to the server when the printing or transmission is finished or unfinished. The server PC 202 performs addition/change of status according to these status addition/change requests.
