<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a control for forming plural kinds of toner patterns from being complicated, regarding an electrophotographic color image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding a constitution where the toner pattern P3 for preventing the turning-up of a blade for removing a toner image formed on an intermediate transfer belt 10, and one or more kinds of toner patterns P1 and P2 used for a control detected by sensors S1 and S2 in order to control an image forming operation are formed on the intermediate transfer belt 10, respective toner patterns P1, P2 and P3 are formed so that other kinds of toner patterns P1, P2 and P3 may not be positioned in the same position in a main scanning direction in the areas where the toner patterns P1 and P2 used for the image forming operation control are detected by the sensors S1 and S2. Thus, even when the toner patterns P1, P2 and P3 are formed in the same position in the sub scanning direction, respective toner patterns P1, P2 and P3 are prevented from overlaying one another, then, a control of shifting a timing of forming toner patterns P1, P2 and P3 from a timing of forming other kind of toner patterns P1, P2 and P3 is unnecessitated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
