<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for allocating work to a person in charge of work that can accurately allocate incomplete work to another person in charge at a request to take over the incomplete work being carried out. <P>SOLUTION: When takeover work information on the work being carried out is sent from a portable terminal 18 that one person in charge uses, a managing computer 11 retrieves a person in charge who can take over the incomplete work as a taking-over person in charge based upon work schedule information on respective persons in charge which are stored in a schedule information storage section 13 in response to the takeover work information. Then a system managing terminal selects the person to be put in charge of the taken-over work.
