PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm not only a story of an entire program but also a story inside each of clips on a story board window.

SOLUTION: An editing apparatus is packaged with a signal processing section for executing signal processing to processing target data according to an operating instruction inputted via a monitor screen (a); a storage section for holding thumbnail images at a plurality of points in time comprising each of clips displayed on a story board window (b); and a display control section for displaying the thumbnail images at the plurality of points in time comprising each of clips on the story board window as one set (c).
