<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful fireproof protection cover capable of satisfying international fireproof standards by solving a problem wherein the international fireproof standards on a communication cable protection tube set inside a tunnel has not been satisfied yet, enduring hard heating tests, and achieving easy mounting in a limited narrow space to respond to the limit of mounting inside the tunnel. <P>SOLUTION: A heat insulating material 2 is made of a high-density blanket such as ceramic fiber with compression-molded ultra-fine particles, and disposed to be formed as steps with an outer layer 2A exposed to high temperature and a relatively low-temperature inner layer 2B. A high-density inorganic fiber blanket whose density is 200-290 kg/m<SP>3</SP>is used as the outer layer 2A. The fireproof protection cover with this structure can secure a sufficient quantity of heat storage to shield the heat in the irregular heat transfer while maintaining the heat insulation property, a characteristic of an inorganic fibrous material. The fireproof protection cover using the high-density inorganic fiber blanket, if the density is in the range mentioned above, is light-weight and can permit the construction with small manpower, so that the fireproof protection cover can be easily mounted in a limited narrow space to correspond to the limit of mounting inside the tunnel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
