PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing apparatus capable of optimizing a plurality of different noise reduction processes in response to the user's preference and a type of a video signal. SOLUTION: The video signal processing apparatus is provided with a noise processing means for applying a prescribed noise reduction process to the video signal. The prescribed video processing is a processing of sequentially executing a first noise reduction process, the number of bits extending process, and a second noise reduction process under a lower dimension than that of the first noise reduction process, or a processing of sequentially executing the first noise reduction process and the number of bits extending process as the second noise reduction process. The noise processing means is carried out by components mainly comprising a central control section 17, a video processing section 30, and a liquid crystal module 40, and for example, an NR processing section 32 executes the first noise reduction process and the liquid crystal module 40 executes the second noise reduction process. Further, the noise processing means interlockingly sets an adjustment value of a noise processing level of the first noise reduction process and an adjustment value of a noise processing level of the second noise reduction process.
