PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extender device in which change in the photographing magnification can instantaneously be conducted by a variable magnification lens. SOLUTION: In an extender device 10, when the photographing magnification is switched to a two times magnification from a one time magnification, a cameraman 22 slides a release lever 37 against the pressing force of a spring 86 rather than operating an extender switching lever 36. By conducting the above, a control pin 84 is buried into a casing 52 from a back surface 52A of the casing 52, position control of the extender switching lever 36 by the control pin 84 is released and a variable magnification lens 50 is instantaneously moved from a retracting position to an advancing position by the pressing force of a coil spring 80. Thus, the variable magnification lens 50 is instantaneously moved by the sliding operation of the release lever 37, i.e., a one touch operation and the change in the photographing magnification by the variable magnification lens 50 is instantaneously conducted.
