PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new plain tile for a corner ridge permitting the use of the remainder of the plain tile for hip of roof which is cut diagonally and used as the plain tile for the corner ridge on a construction site thereby keeping the occurrence of waste from the plain tile to a minimum on the site. SOLUTION: A pair of opposite sides (3a), (3b) are formed symmetrically each other, and another pair of opposite sides (5a), (5b) are also formed symmetrically each other. When the plain tile is cut diagonally or along a straight line intersecting to the two sides thereby forming obliquely cut pieces 11, 13 or 15, 17, each piece can be arranged so as to be respectively connected to the ends of the adjacent plain tiles (19) in the plain tile for the corner ridge. The overlapped portions (3a'), (3b') are arranged so to form a pair of opposite sides each other.
