PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pivot hinge which houses a means for easily attaching/detaching a pivot fitting of the pivot hinge to/from a receiving fitting, which pivot hinge is for fitting a door to a door mounting opening like a frontage in a pivotally openable and closeable manner. SOLUTION: The pivot hinges 8, 9 are mounted at a protruding position to connect the door 1 and a door mounting frame 2 in a manner that the door 1 is pivotally openable and closeable. A retreating means 20 for a pivot 4e retreatingly displaces the pivot 4e of at least a pair of pivot fitting 4 and a receiving fitting 6 toward the inside of a pivot case 4d against an urging spring means 25.
