PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a transfer foil does not pay off in terms of cost and labor in the case that a decoration object is a product of small batches and multiple sorts, though the transfer foil is suited for massive manufacture since it is assumed to be made into a film. SOLUTION: When a decorative layer 5 is formed on the back side 4 of a colorless and transparent platelike plastic article 3 by the same method as that for a transfer layer of the transfer foil, indicative elements such as letters 7, 12 and patterns 13 expressed by laminated patterns of individual layers constituting the decorative layer 5 can be recognized visually from the surface 6 side of the plastic article 3. This decorated plastic article 1 produces a design effect of high-degree satisfaction being equal to that obtained by the transfer onto the plastic article 3 with the conventional transfer foil used.
