PROCESSOR MODULE PACKAGING FOR A PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE DISPLAY

A processor module (100) is packaged with a display (24) for a portable electronic device (10). The display (24) is designed to create a space within a display housing (12) to allow a processor module (100) to be included in the display housing (12). The processor module (100) can be designed to be integral with the display housing (12). Additionally, the processor module (100) can be designed to be detachable from the display housing (12) to provide a removable processor module (100). The removable processor module (100) can be replaced with another processor module (100) having different functionality or have stand alone functionality, as well as system functionality when attached to a display lid (12) or a portable electronic device (10).
