A defect (6) is located on a light-and-shadow image captured by a camera sensor with the help of edge-based segmenting methods. All required local features are determined dynamically from a gray-scale value profile (GSVP) so as to adapt to local conditions of brightness. The GSVP is acquired along a scanning line (5), with which a test area (4) has to be scanned. |
