<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve brightness of a surface light source and especially prevent a phenomena of reduction in brightness in the vicinity of light sources when a plurality of light sources are used. <P>SOLUTION: Two light sources 33A. 33B are disposed on a light incident surface side of an optical waveguide 32. Deflection pattern elements 53A, 53B are disposed in a concentric circle shape around a mid point Q of the light sources 33A, 33B. One pattern element 53A is disposed so that a direction of a normal line raised on its light reflecting face becomes parallel with a direction linking to the corresponding light source 33A in a plane view.
