<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive exterior body for a vacuum thermal insulation material having excellent thermal insulation property, resistance to pin hole, and resistance to wear. <P>SOLUTION: This exterior body E for the vacuum thermal insulation material is constituted by a multilayer sheet composed of an inner layer B and an outer layer A having gas barrier property. The multilayer sheet is composed of the inner layer B constituted by laminating a gas barrier layer 4 and a sealant layer 5 sequentially on a supporting body layer 3 made of a synthetic resin material and the outer layer A composed of a basic material layer 1 made of a synthetic resin material and laminating them through a partial adhesive layer 2.
