PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging device which is capable of reducing entire noise without constituting an excessive capacity and has high S/N and realizes chip size reduction. SOLUTION: In an amplification type solid-state imaging device which includes photodiodes and has two-dimensionally arrayed pixels which output signals of the photodiodes by source followers and has memories for holding signals respectively corresponding to the pixels, a preamplifier is provided which receives and amplifies a source follower output and has one or more amplification factors, and an output of the preamplifier is received by a clamp circuit comprising a capacitor, and an output of the clamp circuit is received by an impedance conversion circuit like a source follower, and the output of the clamp circuit for holding the output from the impedance conversion circuit in the memory is held in the memory.
