PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress partial discharge at a connection part of a high-voltage shielded cable 10. SOLUTION: This electrical connecting structure for a connector of the cable 10 has a discharge function in a connector housing 1 for preventing partial discharge in a cable-insulation layer 15. The function part is provided with a spring electrode 23 for contacting with a connecting terminal 11 of the cable 10 and a shielding layer fixing ring 14 on a ceramic plate 21. When a high-voltage direct current flows in a cable, the voltage between the shielding layer 13 and a conductor 16 increases closer to a value at which partial discharge occurs, discharge occurs between electrodes 22 and 22, preventing partial discharge. Since this discharge occurs at the ceramic plate 21, the discharge extinguishes on the ceramic plate 21 without deteriorating the ceramic plate 21, and the resin of the surrounding insulating-layer 15 will hardly degrade.
