摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new battery-charging device that can detect an operating state irrespective of the magnitude of the voltage of a rectifier element. SOLUTION: In a battery charging device that charges a battery by a DC voltage obtained by rectifying an AC input from an AC generator 1 by a full-wave rectifier circuit 10, series circuits consisting of diodes D1-D6 and capacitors C1-C6 are connected in parallel to FETs 11-16 provided in each phase of the full-wave rectifier circuit 10. The capacitors C1-C6 of these series circuits are provided at the input side, and the diode D1-D6 are connected in such a way as to face the positive pole side or the negative pole side. Second diodes D11-D16 are connected to the connection points of the diodes D1-D6 with the capacitors C1-C6, and second capacitors CC, CD are connected between the second diodes D11-D16 and the output of the full-wave rectifier circuit 10.
