PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a signal separation device which can reduce operation burden at the time of separating a plurality of transmitted signals from a transmitter into the respective transmitted signals with a receiver as compared with the conventional MLD system. SOLUTION: The signal separation device separates a plurality of the transmitted signals from the transmitter into the respective transmitted signals with the receiver. The device includes a means wherein multiplication of matrix element of unitary matrix is performed to a received signal, and at least one received signal point on a signal point constellation diagram is led, a section setting means which sets a plurality numbers of sections which contain signal points of a first predetermined number, a section detection means for detecting a section to which the received signal points belong, a selection means which selects signal points which belong to the section as candidates of signal points corresponding to the received signal point, and a signal separation means which judges a plurality of transmitted signals on the basis of the selected signal points.
