PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver capable of adjusting an antenna direction by quickly and errorlessly particularizing an optimum antenna direction. SOLUTION: The television receiver employs a smart antenna whose directivities are statically variable by an electric signal thereby capable of searching directions, and provides less error than that of antennas whose directivities are dynamically changed. Further, the television receiver detects a state of received signals depending on AGC voltages as to full directivities D1 to D16 and particularizes and obtains excellent directivities so as to be able to receive the broadcast radio waves in an excellent receiving state.
