PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can obtain a higher quality image. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes an imaging part which is provided with a plurality of pixels which creates information charge in response to light from outside, and a plurality of transfer electrodes 30 which extend to a crossing direction of a transfer direction of the information charge for each pixel; and stores and transfers the information charge generated in response to the input light to the pixels by an action of the transfer electrodes 30. The imaging apparatus makes a set of a predetermined number of each pixel group which continues along the transfer direction of the information charge, adds and composes the information charge stored in the pixel group that is made a set at the time of imaging, transfers the information charge by the action of the transfer electrodes installed in the set of the pixel group, and calculates a smear component added to the information charge when the information charge passes through every pixel group at the time of transfer based on the ratio of a transfer cycle T and an imaging period T<SB>s</SB>at the photographing time.
