PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating value measuring device capable of measuring the heating value of a hydrocarbon-based mixture gas accurately and inexpensively. SOLUTION: This device comprises a driving control means 21b for the mixture gas for controlling driving of a catalytic combustion type gas sensor 10 at a mixture gas measuring temperature specified by a mixture gas measuring temperature specification means 31a16 in a heating value calculation type generation unit 300, a sensor output taking means 31a21 for taking a sensor output corresponding to the mixture gas output from the catalytic combustion type gas sensor 10 in response to the control, a heating value calculation means 31a22 for calculating the heating value, and a heating value information output means 31a23 for outputting in order to inform a user of heating value information showing the heating value calculated by the heating value calculation means 31a22. The heating value calculation means 31a22 calculates the heating value on the basis of the sensor output taken by the sensor output taking means 31a21 and a heating value calculation expression generated by a heating value calculation expression generation means 31a15 in the heating value calculation expression generation unit 300.
