PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet post-treating device of excellent operability and productivity, which is improved in copying productivity or printing productivity by stacking sheets without causing the irregular alignment or scatter of a sheet sheaf discharged on a paper discharging tray in the sheet post-treating device discharging a large number of image recorded sheets of various sizes after adjusting and binding them every number of copies. SOLUTION: This sheet post-treating device for stacking the sheets P carried out of an image forming device, on an intermediate stacker 22 to adjust them, binding them by a stapler 30 and then discharging them to the paper discharging tray 6 by a holding and discharging means 5, has a variable speed paper discharging means for changing over to speed reduction to discharge the sheet sheaf P bound by the stapler 30, during the discharge by the holding and discharging means 5, and a control means for variably controlling the timing to change over to speed reduction according to the sheet size.
