METHOD FOR EXTRACTING RNA, REAGENT FOR EXTRACTING RNA, AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING BIOMATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for extracting an RNA with high purity and analyzing it through safe, rapid and simple operation from a biomaterial containing the RNA. SOLUTION: The method comprises adding a chaotropic agent at a predetermined concentration and an organic solvent at a predetermined concentration, mixing them, making a nucleic acid-binding solid phase contact to the mixed liquid, washing the nucleic acid-binding solid phase bound with the RNA and eluting the RNA from the nucleic acid-binding solid phase bound with the RNA. The obtained RNA is also analyzed by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and so on. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
