One layer is formed by sheet metal. One side is roughened and/or structured to improve adhesion. Another layer is formed by a mixture of carbonaceous material, especially including graphite, and a binder. The metal sheet is introduced into a pressing mold, with mixture covering the roughened side. Molding and bonding under pressure are then completed with application of ultrasound. Sonotrode frequency, amplitude and pressure are 10-100 kHz, 5-100 mu m and 5-10,000 N/mm2>.
