The amplifier (1) has a booster (10) with an operational amplifier (11) whose input is supplied with antenna signal (AS). A passive branch (20) is arranged parallel to the booster. A first selector switch (2) and a second selector switch (3) are triggered by comparator (5) to allow the antenna signal to pass through the booster and passive branch alternately. An independent claim is also included for the for the amplification method of antenna signal.
