<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater with a learning function suitable for user's utilization pattern. <P>SOLUTION: This water heater with the learning function comprises a hot water supply heat source and a hot water supply passage for guiding the hot water supplied from the hot water supply heat source to a hot water supply destination, and a hot water supply use quantity data accumulating part 38 determines a plurality of data on hot water supply use quantity to each time on a time axis of a tentative set period of integral multiple (integral multiple of 1 or more) of one day on the basis of the information on the hot water supply flow rate obtained from a flow rate sensor and the time information obtained from a clock mechanism 41, and accumulates the same. A true set period setting part 43 sets the tentative set period as the true set period in a case when the accumulated data is patternized by every tentative set period, and determines a time when the hot water supply use quantity is patternized from the plurality of accumulation data, and sets the same as the true set period, when the accumulation data is not patternized by every tentative set period.
