<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet communication device and its method, as well as a packet communication system, which does not degrade reception performance of packets in HS-PDSCH with less power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A determining part 201 monitors the data amount information inputted from an HS-SCCH demodulator/decoder 104. It determines or predicts that a packet is transmitted to own station within a specified period when the data amount is not zero, and instructs a timing instruction part 202 to start operation.
