<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal having a structure to prevent intrusion of dust to the inner part by a dust preventive plate, in which the incorporated state of an electronic circuit or optical system can be visually checked from the outside. <P>SOLUTION: An optical holder 17 including an imaging lens 13 constituting an optical system and a lighting element 14 and a lighting lens 15 constituting a lighting optical system 11 is arranged within a main body 2 of a bar code reader 1. In the main body 2, a space where the optical holder 17 is located is airtightly protected by a local protective cover 18. The local protective cover 18 is formed of a translucent member, so that the incorporated state of the optical holder 17 can be visually checked from the outside. Therefore, even if incorporation of a part is neglected, or the part is shifted in the assembled state of the optical holder 17, shipping of corresponding defective products can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
