<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film information detecting device, capable of reliably detecting the film information, such as DX codes from many kinds of films having various film bases, color groups formed on them having different transmissivities. <P>SOLUTION: The film information detecting device which detects film information, such as DX codes of photographic films 1 has a variable gain amplifier 43 to amplify the light signals outputted from the light receiver 42 receiving the light beam which is emitted from the flash 41 and passing the film, an automatic gain control 44 for adjusting the gain of the above variable gain amplifier according to the level of the received light signals, and evaluation sections 45 and 71 for evaluating the film information, based on the amplified signals outputted from the amplifier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
