PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying sound source direction detecting and transmitting device for detecting the coming direction of a sound source and transmitting the detection result to an auditorily handicapped person. SOLUTION: This sound source direction detecting and transmitting device includes: a means for inputting the output of four microphones 20 to 23 disposed in the front, the back and the right and left sides of the body through amplifiers 30 to 33 and sound pressure comparators 40 to 43 to a microprocessor 71 to thereby determine the coming direction of the sound source; and a means for transmitting the bodily sensed coming direction of the sound source by driving one of vibrating motors 60 to 63 in the sound source coming direction to be vibrated, whereby the generation of sound is detected to inform the direction of sound, thereby assisting for visual status confirmation.
