PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a memory for storing bit map data effectively. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises a section 131 for receiving a print instruction including user identification information and data identification information, a section 133 for converting data being specified by the data identification information included in the print instruction into bit map data, a section 105B for storing the converted bit map data while associating with the user identification information and the data identification information, and a section 121 for deleting already stored bit map data from the bit map data storage section 105B when the bit map data associated with at least one of the user identification information and the data identification information included in an inputted print instruction has been stored already in the bit map data storage section 105B.
