PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable telephone conversation to enjoy either in the open state or in the closed state of a folding type portable telephone, and to obtain an excellent talking state similarly to in the open state even in the closed state. SOLUTION: A receiver 1 used in an open state and a receiver 2 used in a closed state are arranged on the first surface 52 of a first case 51 with a liquid crystal display unit 3 between. A first case 51 and a second case 54 are united with a two-shaft hinge 6, and opened or closed by a first rotating shaft 6a. Moreover, the first case 51 is rotated by a second rotating shaft 6b. When the telephone is open, the receiver 1 outputs received conversation voices. When the telephone is folded so that the second surface 53 of the first case 51 and the key-arranged surface 4 of the second case 54 are opposed, the receiver 2 outputs received conversation voices.
