PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of adjusting the length of a flange back with high accuracy, by providing a flange back adjustment mechanism. SOLUTION: When an adjustment shaft 30 is turned, turning of the adjustment axis 30 is delivered to a turning mobile cylinder 26 via an idle gear 28. When the turning mobile cylinder 26 receives a torque, the turning mobile cylinder 26 is moved forward/backward along an optical axis L, while being turned by the action of a female screw part 56 formed to its inner circumferential part and a male screw part 38 formed to an outer circumference of a fixed cylinder 22. When the turning mobile cylinder 26 is moved forward/backward, a rectilinear moving cylinder 24, connected to the turning mobile cylinder 26 via a coupling part 60 and a groove 50, is moved forward/backward along the optical axis L together with the turning mobile cylinder 26. Then the forward/backward movement of the rectilinear moving cylinder 24 moves forward / backward, a CCD 18 fitted to the rectilinear moving cylinder 24 moves forward/backward along the optical axis L so that the length of the flange back becomes adjustable.
