PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the thermal sensitivity of a heat sensor that uses a ferroelectric material. SOLUTION: The heat sensor 1 for monitoring temperatures in a monitored area includes a ceramic element 2 serving as the ferroelectric material; a temperature calculating part 3 for calculating temperatures in the monitored area on the basis of the dielectric constant of the ceramic element 2; and a temperature correcting part 4 for correcting based on the output voltage of the ceramic element 2 the temperatures calculated by the temperature calculating part 3. The temperature correcting part 4 includes a first correcting part 4a for calculating temperature variations in the monitored area at predetermined time intervals as necessary; a second correcting part 4b for correcting the temperature variations in accordance with the output voltage of the ceramic element 2; and a third correcting part 4c for calculating the corrected temperatures by adding the corrected temperature variations to the temperatures calculated by the temperature calculating part 3.
