PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial robot which is equipped with a recovery device for liquid such as oil dripping from a workpiece or the like, wherein the industrial robot is downsized, and improved in ease of use and in space-saving efficiency, and to provide a conveying device using the industrial robot. SOLUTION: The industrial robot 1 is provided with a base stand 2, a rotary section 3, an arm section 5, an arm 6, and a grip section 7 for gripping the workpiece 13 at the tip of the arm 6, and further has a liquid receptacle 8 arranged on the rotary section. The grip section 7 is made movable to a location 8u above the liquid receptacle. The liquid receptacle 8 has a tentative stand 9 arranged therein. Thus while at least one part 8b of the liquid receptacle is arranged above a receptacle of a machine 11, 12 or a workpiece placing area 14, 15, the grip section is moved above the part of the liquid receptacle, and therefore dripping liquid 21 such as oil is received by the receptacle.
