Two-ply fixed length control tape (carbon-copy enabled) with unique identifier contains two parallel wound strips on which printer prints data on the upper strip and the data gets carboncopied onto the other strip. The upper strip is issued to customers as receipts, while the lower strip gets rolled onto a reel inside the printer/till and is used as record of sales total. Both strips are of fixed and predetermined length in order to prevent any manipulation with its length. At the beginning and/or the end of each control strip is an identifier which uniquely marks each strip in the field of its use. This identifier prevents throwing away or destroying of used strips. At the same time, it simplifies keeping records and following control strips, their ordering, use, storing and archiving, in this way also simplifying the control of ascertaining true sales totals, especially when cash is the means of payment. |
