Process for preparation of a protective gas mixture containing argon, helium, and a doping gas for arc welded joints in arc welding, where the argon is converted to the liquid phase, where helium (2) and a doping gas forming mixture (3) is added to the argon. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a doping gas mixture which can contain hydrogen and/or nitrogen; and (2) a shielding gas provision device including a liquid argon storage container. |
