The method involves moving the containers in translation in a diagonal position with the side faces including an acute angle with the direction of movement. the containers have a rectangular or square shape whereby during the translation movement all four side faces include an acute angle to the direction of movement. Independent claim describes apparatus with conveyor (5) moving the containers in a diagonal position. The conveyor has entrainment members (12) to fix the containers in their diagonal position.
