FIELD: separating dispersed particles from gases. ^ SUBSTANCE: device comprises canopy mounted over the coke-directing machine and provided with diffuser which is connected with the inner space of the canopy. The diffuser receives dust catcher and nozzles for spraying water which are arranged along the axis of the diffuser. The nozzles are secured to the vertical section of the pipeline and are connected with the means for water supply. The bottom section of the diffuser is provided with the means for quenching the water jets sprayed by the nozzles that provide the jets to be interested in the quenching zone. The housing of the diffuser is conical-cylindrical. The means for quenching jets are made of ring-shaped chute secured to the conical section of the diffuser. The open side of the chute is in communication with the inner space of the diffuser and is provided with a ring-shaped perforated shield.
